10 Most Annoying TV Plot Holes Ever

Brooklyn 99's resident loose-cannon detective Jake Peralta is a man of many talents. If you're looking for a sweetly timed innuendo, a bottomless pit of Die Hard knowledge, or even the name of absolutely every Transformer known to man, then look no further.

However, one skill the emotionally stunted cop sadly doesn't possess is the ability to grow facial hair; in fact, he even goes on record to state that he is physically incapable. Yet, as we eventually found out in Season Five of the comedy police procedural, Peralta may not know his face as well as he thinks he does.

As Jake spends some time in the slammer after he and Rosa Diaz are framed for a bank robbery, we see a very distinct lack of an inability to grow a moustache. Jake actually boasts a rather full and rugged beard a couple months into his sentence, proving that he did in fact have it in him all along. Or perhaps the showrunners just chose to ignore the stream of nonsense that had tumbled out of his mouth in the years before and decided that a beard was the best way of showing time passing in the can.
