Whilst animation juggernaut Pixar have done long-form series before, they've always been based on existing properties.
Dug Days is about the dog from Up, Cars on the Road is a follow-up to Cars, And the main characters from Brave and Wreck-It Ralph team up in the search for a profit in the smash-hit "Merida and Ralph Flip Houses".
Ok, that last one was made up, but don't say you wouldn't watch it.
That's all about to change though, as the studio is bringing us Win or Lose in 2023.
The show will revolve around a middle school softball team in the days leading up to their big championship match. The twist? Each episode will be told from the perspective of a different character.
Pixar made their name taking very ordinary situations and giving them an inventive new spin, so an underdog sports story with an atypical narrative structure is right in their wheelhouse.
With middle school being such a pivotal time in a child's development, expect plenty of hard-hitting scenes from the studio that brought you "Old lady dies in the first five minutes".
Also humour, cos Pixar are really funny as well as being really sad.
