The Muppets franchise is one of the most enduring and endearing in all of media history.
With dozens of TV episodes, 8 films, and a weird kart racing game under their felt belts, Kermit and the gang have been making us laugh for decades now and that's not about to change any time soon.
Set for a release on Disney+, The Muppets Mayhem will follow the exploits of house band The Electric Mayhem as they attempt to record a platinum-selling album.
Alongside Dr. Teeth, Janice, and the main man Animal, the band will be joined by some human friends in the form of Lilly Singh and Tahj Mowry.
Written by Adam F. Goldberg of The Goldbergs fame, The Muppets Mayhem will skewer the modern music industry in a way only the Muppets can. Hopefully this means we get a scene where Animal beats up Ed Sheeran. Fingers crossed!
They may not be everyone's cup of tea, but there will always be intrigue surround a new Muppets-themed project. This one sounds like one of the most divergent yet, and will hopefully take the franchise in a fun new direction.
