Stranger Things wowed audiences in 2016 with its nostalgia-heavy visuals, fantastic writing, spooky moments and loveable characters. Before anyone knew it, it was one of the biggest TV shows in history, ranking high as one of the platform's most-streamed original series ever. Now, whenever a new season hits, you better believe it'll be in Netflix's top ten for months.
The series has certainly had its ups and downs, with a killer opening season, a decent (if a little uneven) follow-up, a lacklustre third year, and then a monumental fourth. Still, no matter whether it was Eleven battling the Demogorgon or Dustin singing "Neverending Story", fans were there for it in droves.
Regarding the horror itself, it's safe to say that Stranger Things is far from a terrifying experience. However, it still emits a dark atmosphere with some big frights, especially in the fourth season.
