10 Most Controversial TV Shows Of All Time

3. Turn-On

Australia€˜s Naughtiest wasn€™t the first show to be cancelled pathway of their first show. Turn-on was a 1969 sketch comedy from ABC, which suffered the same fate. It was created by George Schlatter and Digby Wolfe, creators of the much more successful Laugh-In. They wanted to make a show that was a mix of old-fashioned humor with topics that were popular at the time, and the host would be a €œcomputer.€ What we ended up with was with a humorless TV show with editing that actually made some people sick, accompanied by very strange and threatening music that was supposed to be €œfuturistic.€ People were so annoyed by what they were watching that not only the show was cancelled after the first minutes, but they also stopped the show midair. Not only that, but in a couple of days after the airing of the show 75 ABC affiliates told the company that they refused to air the show ever again. And I thought Australia€™s and Heil Honey had a rough time.
