6. The Golden Crown
HBOWe all wanted Viserys to die from pretty much the moment we saw him and he started feeling up his 13-year-old sister (yuck). But this is a case of hoping something will happen, and then being immediately horrified by the way it happens. It's like, "Wait, hold up, I didn't ask for this!" After Daenarys is married off to Khal Drogo, Viserys finds himself in the unenviable position of being the least important Targaryen around. Predictably, he stamps his foot like a child and petulantly demands that the Dothraki leader provide him the forces promised for him to take back his throne. Demands. We've only seen a few episodes worth of the Dothraki, but even we can tell that it seems particularly unwise to demand anything of a Dothraki king that he would not give willingly. Khal Drogo sort of puts up with his annoying brother-in-law for a while, but eventually enough is enough. And then, with sickening irony, he gives Viserys the crown he's been desperately looking for -- only this one is molten gold being poured onto his head as he screams piteously in pain and is burned to death. Yikes.
