9. The Waif
The Waif was not a character that was particularly well-rounded. Her only purpose was to be Arya’s rival in the House of Black and White, and these two characters certainly developed a deep loathing for each other during their time in Braavos.
After a slightly over-the-top chase sequence through the streets of the city, Arya managed to best her revival, but owing to the fact that she murdered the Waif in the dark, her death wasn’t even seen.
As with Stannis and Brienne, it would have been much more satisfying to have had a lengthier confrontation. This would have also been a ripe opportunity for Arya to show off her recently acquired skills. Instead, the show gave us a blunt and disappointing death that felt remarkably flat.
