10 Most Evil South Park Villains

9. Saddam Hussein

In the early days of South Park, there were three things that were becoming increasingly apparent.

1.The shows irreverently smart, but unforgiving offensive humour was unlike anything else present or past.

2. The South Park creators had little love for Kenny

3. Saddam Hussein was a perfect subject for the parodic nature of this show. After realising this he quickly became the first real antagonist in the entire series and was such an ambiguous personality in reality that his character didn’t aesthetically fit in with the eccentric world of South Park. On top of the realistic way they designed him compared to the other characters around him, he was strangely endearing in a way that only Trey Parker and Matt Stone could bring to fruition.

Saddam was as maniacal as he was zany in every entry he appeared in, with the first being Bigger, Longer and Uncut’s antagonist, a tyrannous dictator (shockingly) that wanted to literally raise hell amongst the living with none other than Satan himself. He appeared in a few episodes afterwards but has mostly been retired alongside his relevance in the media and world culture.

Want to know what adds insult to injury? That Iraqi militia repeatedly forced Saddam Hussein to watch his fictional counterpart during the countdown to his execution.
