10 Most Evil Versions Of Spider-Man

3. Patton Parnel - Edge Of Spider-Verse

Spider-Man Doppelganger
Marvel Comics

The best way to summarise Patton Parnel is to imagine your regular Peter Parker, then completely flip all of his personality traits and characteristics.

Appearance-wise, Patton looks very much like a young Peter. There's the brown bowl cut, there's the glasses, there's the relatively small frame, and there's also a major interest in science for Parnel. Following in Parker's footsteps, Patton eventually winds up being bitten by a radioactive spider.

The problem is, Patton Parnel is an utterly unhinged, disturbed individual.

Introduced in Edge of the Spider-Verse and calling Earth-51412 home, Parnel eerily enjoys torturing animals, obsessively stalks his neighbour Sarah Jane, and develops a taste for human flesh. From an abusive home headed up by his Uncle Ted, Patton's troubled upbringing led to him becoming a burgeoning monster. Once bitten by a gnarly red spider, the youngster fully embraced his dark side and used his newfound abilities for nefarious means.

Said embracing meant transforming into a chilling spider-human creature with eight red eyes, four arms and four legs, and who webbed-up and ate people.

The only way that Patton's toothy rampage was brought to an end, was thankfully when vampiric spider-sort Morlun turned up and drained the crazed teenager of his "lifeforce".
