1. Kill The Moon
First broadcast: Saturday 4th October 2014 Forgettable because none of us can quite bring ourselves to accept and acknowledge the fact that the Doctor Who mythology has now established that the Moon is actually an egg. Did that really just happen? Well, yes, it did, and it was all going so well before writer Peter Harness threw that almighty spanner into the works. Fans had been promised one of the most sophisticated episodes in Doctor Who history as our heroes faced an impossible decision and, as it turns out, the choice itself - i.e., whether or not to save planet Earth or the Moon - was relatively plausible within the confines of the show's pre-established universe. The revelation that the lunar surface is actually the embryonic form of a gigantic, draconian creature, however? Not so much. Blimey. It would've made more sense if it had been made out of cheese. Oh, and Clara's dramatic exit at the end of the episode would've been unforgettable had she not come back in the very next episode. It's ultimately a lot of shouting and stomping over nothing. What did you think of this list? Do you agree/disagree with our countdown of forgettable Doctor Who episodes? Are there any other stories that should've been included?
