10 Most Hated Buffy The Vampire Slayer Characters

Dawn Summers crops up at the start of Season 5 as the human incarnation of the key Glory so desperately wants to obtain. In addition to being integral to the plot, Dawn is also a headache for the others to deal with.

Of course, she’s meant to be to a certain extent. The way her character is written suggests the writers were going for the archetype of the annoying teenager. But it’s hard to feel much sympathy given her many terrible decisions.

Her habit of stealing things, for instance, makes her a hard character to root for. And her knack for disobeying her older sister gets wearisome after a while. Worst of all, Dawn is the one who suggests Buffy leaves the house at the end of ‘Empty Places’ in Season 7. Given all the sacrifices her older sister has made over the last few years, such a move is incredibly ungrateful.

Though there are a couple of individuals who are more hated, Dawn is undoubtedly the most annoying character in Sunnydale.
