10 Most Hated Family Guy Characters
1. Herbert
Could this list have been topped by anybody else? Quahog, much like Springfield, has over the years been populated by many wonderful, colourful, and unique characters. However, you have to stop and wonder whose idea it was to bring an aged paedophile into town.
Herbert, a war hero, really has only one personality trait, something that isn’t justified or mitigated by the fact that he is an old man. His entire character revolves around that fact that he is a pervert, and has a preference for underage boys.
In particular, Herbert’s unfathomable sexual preference keeps bringing him back to Chris Griffin. He has tried to groom Chris, tried to convince him to get naked, and brought his old clothes from a garage sale, apparently, all in the name of humour.
Family Guy has always joked about things close to crossing the line, but this is usually about controversial topics bound to spark debate, or a satirical take on someone or something relevant in the world, usually that Seth MacFarlane doesn’t agree with. There is however, no deeper meaning behind Herbert, no satirical joke or opinion, he is just offensive for the sake of it.
