10 Most Hated Parks And Recreation Episodes

1. Galentine's Day (Season 6, Episode 17)

Parks And Recreation
NBC

Anyone who has watched more than a couple of episodes of Parks and Recreation knows that Leslie is an amazing friend. Whether it’s jumping through hoops to help get her friend's jobs or giving incredibly thoughtful gifts. Leslie shows time and time again that she will do anything for her friends. She cares with such intensity that it can be a bit much, but it’s usually coming from a place of love.

The episode Galentine’s Day is a prime example of Leslie crossing the line with her friendships. After her best friend Ann moves to another town with Chris, Leslie looks to fill the void. Unlike the first Galentine’s Day episode, which was about Leslie celebrating her female friends, this time she is exploiting those friendships.

Leslie essentially turns her holiday into a character assessment for who should take place as her new best friend. She invites April, Donna, and others, including Evelyn, who Leslie has dubbed ‘Fake Ann,’ to see who can fill Ann’s shoes. Eventually, it’s revealed what Leslie is doing when it’s discovered that she is taking notes and ranking each person at lunch.

What makes this episode so unlikable is how Leslie treats her friends for her own selfish reasons. We very rarely see Leslie treat people with such disrepect. It’s even worse when it's revealed that the reason she hadn’t heard from Ann was that she was in labor, making Leslie's behavior unnecessary.
