10 Most Hated Parks And Recreation Episodes
2. Greg Pikitis (Season 2, Episode 7)
Rivalries are a staple in Parks and Recreation. Whether between the Parks Department and the Library or Ron vs. the Tammys. These characters are no stranger to feuds. Many of them are hilarious and unique in their own way. The one-sided rivalry between Ann and April is great because it shows the sensitive insecure side of April and the caring side of Ann. The feud between Ron and Tammy is legendary for their passionate hatred for each other. But the feud between Leslie and Greg Pikitis is just weird.
The episode is all about Leslie trying to prove that a high schooler named Greg Pikitis is behind a slew of pranks perpetrated against the Parks Department. While obsessive Leslie usually lends toward hilarity, there’s just something off-putting seeing Leslie cross the line to get a teenager in trouble. She even goes so far as to have her boyfriend break the law in the name of her vendetta.
Pikitis and Leslie's feud makes no sense when compared to the rivalry between Leslie and Jeremy Jam. Jam is basically an anti-Leslie in every way, determined to outdo her by means possible with absolutely zero shame. Making for a fun and well-matched rivalry. Pikitis is a crappy teenager who likes to pull pranks. While Leslie’s pursuit is funny, the premise is odd and a bit uncomfortable.
While the episode has funny moments, the rivalry doesn't work.
