‘Whose Line’ episodes would commonly end with the four performers improvising a song about a topic given to them by the audience, often in the style of either a ‘Hoe-Down’ or an ‘Irish Drinking Song’.

In ‘Irish Drinking Song’, the performers would take it in turns to come up with a lyric, one line at a time. It would more often than not end with everybody breaking down laughing, usually thanks to a random, ridiculous line made up by Colin at the end.

But in this infamous clip, they struggle to even get the song started. They are given the topic of ‘Yelling out the wrong name in bed’ but never actually use that suggestion as the song quickly breaks down into chaos.

Drew Carey joined in on this occasion and mumbled through his line, which was the second line of the song. Ryan quickly picked up on this and responded by loudly mumbling gibberish on his turn. The other performers are unable to keep their composure and all crumble to the floor in hysterics, giving us one of the most hilarious moments in the show’s history.
