10 Most Inappropriate Moments In Star Trek: The Next Generation

3. Beverly Crusher F***s A Ghost

There's not really a whole lot of context I can add to this particular moment that's not neatly summed up in the headline. Beverly Crusher, in the Season 7 episode Sub Rosa, just f***s a ghost.

In fact, so integral is "Beverly Crusher F***s A Ghost" to the premise of this episode, that the official description simply just reads "Dr. Crusher attends her grandmother's funeral, and spends time in her grandmother's haunted house, romanced by her grandmother's non-corporeal lover". Nothing about exploration, or space ships, or strange new worlds, this is an episode of TV where a woman, basically, just f***s a ghost.

Better yet, it's established that said ghost has been rattling the chains (if you will) of women in the Crusher family for around 800 years. Meaning that there was almost an entire millennium of wives, sisters, and daughters all somehow managing to... well, f*** a ghost, without anyone else in the family catching wind of it.

Because it's Star Trek, it transpires that the ghost (which she f***s) is actually an "anaphasic lifeform". But, for all intents and purposes, this is a big haunted house story in which, Beverly Crusher, having lit a possessed candle against the explicit advice of Groundskeeper Willie, literally f***s a ghost.
