Very few villains survive for long periods in The Last Kingdom, but one Danish invader who continues to plague the Saxons is Hæsten Storrison, a manipulative conniver and formidable warrior, whose fluctuating allegiance often results in him abandoning his allies for the sake of self-preservation. The Danish warrior, portrayed by Jeppe Beck Laursen, slides from skulking and sneaky to brutal and barbaric, with those around him never quite knowing whether he’s working with them or against them.
