8. Delphine LaLaurie's Minotaur
One of the most remembered characters through the seasons of this series is Delphine LaLaurie. It's not her violent backstory or her stubborn and defiant attitude, but the outstanding performance of Kathy Bates that makes us root for a character like this.
In the third season of this series, we meet one of the last witch covens in New Orleans as a new Supreme emerges. We meet Delphine Lalaurie, a 19th-century high society woman who tortured her help as a hobby during the first minutes.
After one of these became involved with one of her daughters, Madame LaLaurie tortured him and, as a final punishment, placed the decapitated head of a bull over his face. Even when his lover, voodoo queen Marie Laveau, brings him back to life, he comes back with it over his head. Now he's condemned to carry this curse with him until the end of his days.
This was a surprising and very graphic way to start the season. The image of the man held with the bull's head on won't be easily forgotten by the viewers.
