10 Most Powerful Anime Characters Of All Time

8. Ryuko Matoi (Kill La Kill)

Death Note
Trigger

It seems a bit redundant to call studio Trigger over the top when the same can be said for all of anime, but Kill La Kill has to be the most balls to the wall insane show I have ever seen. This show does not care what you think about its story, characters or concepts, it runs with it at top speed and refuses to wait for you.

And it. Is. AWESOME!

And at the center of all of it is one of the best female leads in animation: Ryuko Matoi. Essentially being carefully created to be as far opposite your typical shonen anime female character as humanely possible, Ryuko is tough as nails, gleefully violent, ALWAYS has agency over her actions and choices, and literally gets more powerful the less demure and shameful about her sexuality she is.

And by god does she get POWERFUL. Within ten episodes alone she's tearing major cities multiple unnecessary new buttholes with her trusty scissor blade. And if that fails, then her armor, senketsu, has a wide array of upgrades, forms, and weaponry Ryuko can fall back on. Ryuko can do in 20 episodes what it took someone like Goku to do in 200.

And that's why she's here and Goku isn't even on the list at all. Fight me.
