10 Most Powerful Weapons In Doctor Who History

4. Doomsday Weapon

Sometimes, it's all in a name, and that's certainly true for the Doomsday Weapon, an insanely powerful device that did exactly what its name implied - it brought about doomsday.

The Doomsday Weapon was created by the Uxarieans, and it had one ability: to make a star go supernova. When the weapon was being tested, it blew up a star and created the Crab Nebula.

Shortly after this occurred, the device began to leak radiation, which poisoned the soil on Uxarieus. This caused the Uraxieans to mutate into three distinct species as their homeworld became barren and largely uninhabitable. The device brought about their doom in a roundabout way, and their society decayed into an inevitable collapse.

The Master attempted to secure the weapon for himself, which was contained within a large underground facility on Uxarieus. Fortunately, the Third Doctor managed to thwart this plan. He convinced the weapon's guardian to destroy it, rather than allowing it to fall into the hands of the Master.
