Star Trek Riker Klingon
CBS

During this episode we are treated to a battle of wits as Picard and Riker go head-to-head in War Games; one of Starfleet's simulated battle-readiness training programs designed to test a ship's preparation and that or her crew's competency.

The charm of this episode comes as we get to see a brief back and forth between the two men, engaging in subtle, brilliant measures and countermeasures for each other on the battlefield. The joy of the two men as they duke it out is almost palpable, and thus grips the audience immediately.

Once the ship is attacked for real however and finds itself in grave danger, what transpires is some of the finest levels of fan service seen in television perhaps ever. Fan's are treated to a tactical masterclass from the two men as we witness a dream tag-team against a truly believable adversary, a confrontation which demands incredible cunning and the full range of combined talents from our two heroes to overcome.

Plus, who doesn't enjoy a smiling Commander Data casually putting an arrogant strategic games world champion is his place?
