10 Most Shocking House Of Card Moments

9. Knock, Knock

After being passed over for the role of Secretary of State, Frank Underwood sets into motion a plan to bring down President Walker (who had promised him that position and then gone back on his word). By the end of season one, he had cleverly manipulated his way into becoming the Vice President, but for anyone thinking that House of Cards would take things slow, Frank was surprisingly in the Oval Office by the time season two came to an end. Destroying the current President and his allies, Frank pretty much committed treason to ensure that he ended up as the President of the United States, and it was in equal parts shocking and satisfying to see him achieve his goal. The final double knock on the table and a meaningful glance towards the viewer set the stage perfectly for season three and ensured that people would be back to see what was next for President Underwood.
