10 Most Shocking Moments From Love, Death, & Robots
7. The Cats – Three Robots
Three robots are on a tourist trek through an abandoned post-apocalyptic city. The only being left alive? Cats. They find one at a home where he begins to purr on the lap of one of the trio after being pet. The other two cower in fear as they worry if the petting halts the feline will explode.
The crisis is averted, and the trek continues to the site of a nuclear warhead. When detailing the human’s demise of environmental disaster, one robot exclaims that they also gave their cats opposable thumbs, somehow equally devastating to their expiration.
“Yes, once we could open up our own tuna cans, that was pretty much that for the human race.” Hundreds of cats ascend onto the robots with threats that if they’re not pet sufficiently, they’ll surely explode. A shocking moment for us but a fantasy for our feline readers.
