2. The Governor Vs. Michonne (S3E08 "Made To Suffer")
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qkAXbi375w It had finally arrived, the moment that fans of the comic book had been waiting for, and at the same time dreading; the first confrontation between The Governor and Michonne. Ever since it was announced that both characters would be appearing in the third season, fans speculated as to how the notorious interaction between the sadistic Governor and the vengeful Michonne would play out on television. The comic book version was extremely graphic and was almost too adult for even HBO, but Kirkman and the rest of the writers did not disappoint. They delivered an intense and gore-filled moment between the two of the series darkest characters. After finding Ricks group at the prison and informing them about The Governor, Woodbury, and that their friends were being held captive, Michonne leads them on a raid to save Glenn and Maggie. During the raid, Michonne sneaks away from the group to find The Governor. She goes to his house and discovers his two darkest secrets. The first of which are large fish tanks filled with human heads. The second was that he was keeping his undead daughter trapped in his closet. When The Governor returns to his home, he finds Michonne waiting in his locked room with her samurai sword in hand. She puts the sword towards his daughter and we see The Governors first and last human moment begging Michonne not to hurt his little girl. Michonne shows no remorse for the monster that he is and puts her sword through his daughters skull. The two of them start to fight and in one of the most startling yet brilliant moment, Michonne takes a piece of sharp glass and stabs it into The Governors eye. The writers may not have been able to do a literal interpretation of the scene from the comics, but this episode proved that less is more.
