10 Most Underrated Buffy The Vampire Slayer Scenes
2. Faith Has Fun With Spike (Season 4, Episode 16)
In the middle of Season 4, Faith wakes up from a coma and is determined to get revenge on Buffy. After a furious fight in the Summers’ household, Faith activates the Mayor’s device, causing the two Slayers to switch bodies.
Faith, now free to roam around in the body of her nemesis, enjoys herself by slacking off patrol duty and heading down to the Bronze. After a brief dancing session, she bumps into Spike, which leads to an unforgettable conversation.
At first, Faith has no idea who she’s talking to, but when she figures out the identity of the blonde-haired vampire, she does not hold back. As well as making a mockery of Buffy’s moral code, Faith teases Spike by getting up close and personal:
“I could ride you at a gallop until your legs buckled and your eyes rolled up. I’ve got muscles you’ve never even dreamed of. I could squeeze you until you popped like warm champagne, and you’d beg me to hurt you just a little bit more. And you know why I don’t? Because it’s wrong.”
It’s rare to see Spike looking so uncomfortable. Normally, he’s the coolest guy in the room, but in this scene, he struggles to maintain his composure as he’s teased and humiliated by the Slayer. Though the entire episode is full of highlights, this little exchange is the standout moment.
