9. Grifting 101
Fortunately, Community ended on a high note, with plenty of great episodes towards the end of Season 6. Unfortunately, that means some of those final episodes ended up buried, lost in the midst of so many other incredible episodes. No episode from that stretch feels more forgotten than Grifting 101.
This spoof of The Sting guest stars Matt Berry in a scene-stealing performance as a Grifting Professor who instantly clashes with Jeff. Unbeknownst to the rest of the group, his grifting class is clearly a grift. After realizing they've been duped, the group work to grift the professor back.
The episode works as a perfect parody of con-man movies, poking fun at every single trope along the way. Plus, seeing the grifting professor go down at the end feels surprisingly good. It's satisfying hearing him say those three magical words, "I was grifted," at the end of the episode. Also, seeing the group cheer "grift" then "hot dogs" marks one of their last shared successes.
