9. 'House Fancy' (Season Six)
Celebrity Food Network star Alton Brown stars as Nicholas Withers in this oddball parody of shows like Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.
At it's core, 'House Fancy' is just your basic plot about Squidward's never-ending rivalry with his arch nemesis Squilliam Fancyson, but it's really so much more than that.
It's a biting commentary on HGTV-style programming that doesn't hesitate from reaching into blatant absurdity to make it's point. Not many shows could find a way to combine a dying toilet, that Patrick accidentally murders no less, with a running gag about doorknobs to make something this entertaining, but SpongeBob SquarePants finds a way.
It's worth noting that the aforementioned Brown is also amazing here, as it's hard to even tell that the host of Good Eats is playing the overly enthusiastic Withers. If somehow bathroom appliance death didn't convince you this episode was worth seeking out then, just watch it for one of the best guest-spots in the history of the show.
