10 Most Underrated TV Shows Of 2018 (So Far)
8. Gotham
In spite of being on the air for four years, Gotham hasn't really received the attention that it deserves. The Fox series originally started off as a Batman prequel, but before long it deviated a bit, instead becoming its own f**ked up version of the Batman story. While many die-hard Caped Crusader fans resent the direction the show has taken, it's the originality that makes Gotham unpredictable and incredibly enjoyable, and the latest season was its best yet.
The fourth season, which aired earlier this year, introduced Jeremiah Valeska - who appears to be Gotham's own unique version of The Joker. Shameless actor Cameron Monaghan inhabits the role of both Jeremiah and his twin brother Jerome, and he delivered two spellbinding performances as the siblings.
Unfortunately, the viewership was at an all time low and, after much debate on the show's future, Fox revealed that the next season will be its last. Gotham deserves to be applauded - not hated on - for its originality, and regardless of the continued success of The CW's Arrow-verse line-up, Gotham is without a doubt the best that DC TV currently has to offer.
