10 Most Underrated TV Shows Of The Last 10 Years

8. UnREAL

The world of reality television is prime material for drama these days, just look at the shocking stories related to Love Island and the Jeremy Kyle Show.

As the industry wrings its hands over past abuses of trust and failures in safeguarding, unREAL interrogates the very concept of reality television with a sharply satirical eye. Shiri Appleby and Constance Zimmerman play staffer Rachel and producer Quinn respectively, two careerists who coolly manipulate other women to advance in their careers

Taking place both in front and behind the cameras of a dating show, we follow the crew as they manipulate contestants in the name of entertainment. It's a cynical but all-too believable look at television production that lays bare our own suspicions about the fakery of reality shows.

Tackling racism, misogyny and providing us with a compelling power struggle at it's heart, it sits comfortably alongside Succession as a strong satire of our current moment.

Critically acclaimed in the US, the show is largely unknown in the UK. The show that inspired it, ABC's The Bachelor is ultimately more popular. All four series are currently available on Amazon Prime and well worth your time.
