The literal Queen of Scream - Neve Campbell gained her popularity as the enduring protagonist of Wes Craven's slasher spoof though she was screaming on film prior to its release. Released the same year as Scream in 1996 were The Canterville Ghost and The Craft making Campbell no stranger to the horror genre. In fact, she had already done a few roles in the mystery and paranormal genre prior to her appearance on Are You Afraid of the Dark but none are so worthwhile as her appearance in "The Tale of the Dangerous Soup." This story is among the strangest the series has to offer featuring recurring antagonist Dr. Vink. When Vink opens a new restaurant and charges a hundred dollars a bowl for his mysterious soup his employees can't help but wonder what his secret is. When one waitress sneaks a taste Vink doesn't take to it lightly and shows the young girl the ingredient - fear. Neve and her less-than-appealing costar must stop Vink before he makes soup of them all. Be prepared for some eerie fun and one of the most disturbing endings of the entire series. Seeing a young Neve Campbell pre-Scream is just the proverbial icing on top. Campbell showed us she's still a survivor having appeared in 2011's Scream 4. In 2012 she appeared in a miniseries based on the Titanic and has a few projects announced for the upcoming year.
