One television remake that is apparently going to take a remarkably different tone to its source material is the new adaptation of Clueless.
The 90s comedy has become one of the most iconic teen movies of its generation, and alongside Heathers (1988) and Mean Girls (2004), has become known for its quotable dialogue and witty humour.
This will be the second attempt to take the film to the small screen, with a mildly successful television remake running for 3 seasons in the late 90s.
Little is known about the crew or cast involved, however, it is confirmed that it will have more of a dramatic angle to the story. The series will centre around the mysterious disappearance of Cher (originally played by Alicia Silverstone), and how her family and friends - including her best friend, Dionne (Stacey Dash) - try to handle it.
