10 Movies You Didn't Know Were Being Remade As Upcoming TV Shows
6. The Nice Girls
One of the most underestimated films of 2016 was The Nice Guys, the Shane Black-penned action buddy comedy, starring the central duo of Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe.
We could see that film getting a franchise in itself, and hopefully a sequel down the line, but otherwise, we will get a television spin-off. And, much in the same way as 2016’s Ghostbusters and Ocean’s Eight, the series will remake the film with a gender swap conceit.
This means that we are unlikely to see Gosling or Crowe appear, but hopefully we will see the same setting, time period and witty humour replicated.
There is no news on whether or not Shane Black will be involved, but we do know that it will be broadcast on Fox, and will be written by Michael Diliberti, the writer of 30 Minutes or Less.
