10 Netflix Shows EVERYONE Should Binge-Watch
3. Mindhunter
Based on John E. Douglas and Mark Olshaker's book, Mindhunter: Inside the FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit, Mindhunter is a psychological thriller set first in 1977 and rolls through to the early '80s in the FBI. The show follows the stories of Special Agents Holden Ford, Bill Tench and psychologist Wendy Carr who found the FBI's Behavioural Science Unit at the institution's training academy in Quantico.
Based on real life events, crimes and actual interviews carried out by the Behavioural Science Unit with the likes of notorious serial killers such as Ed Kemper, Montie Rissell and even Charles Manson himself, Mindhunter delves into how understanding how the minds of serial killers works provides helpful insights into working out to catch future criminals.
Though the series is currently on an indefinite pause, executive producer David Fincher has said he plans on releasing five seasons of the show in total. The show blends together a truly chilling insight into the twisted minds of America's worst criminals, whilst simultaneously being a hugely absorbing series of character studies that makes it one of the hardest shows on Netflix to pull away from.
