Oh, what, like you're not going to watch Vince Gilligan's first show since Breaking Bad? Battle Creek is the story of two detectives with drastically different world views who work together to clean up the streets of Battle Creek, Michigan. It's set to star Josh Duhamel and Dean Winters (aka Dennis Duffy, the Beeper King) in its two leading roles. Sure, the world might have all the detective dramas it needs right now, but there's always room for one more if the quality is there. It seems only natural that the man who created one of the best tv criminals of all time would be equally adept at creating engaging television detectives, and we have every hope that Battle Creek will compare favorably with the well-received True Detective starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. The project is clearly something that Gilligan is passionate about, as he's been trying to get it made for the past ten years. With the overwhelming success of Breaking Bad, he now has the clout to do whatever he wants, and what he wants to do is Battle Creek. That's just about as shining an endorsement as you're likely to get for any show.
