10 New TV Shows Of Fall 2017 Guaranteed To Succeed

6. Will And Grace

At this point, it seems not just likely but borderline required that every marginally successful show from the early 2000s needs to be rebooted. And of course, Will and Grace was not just a marginally successful TV show, so it should come as no surprise to anyone that the main cast has recently committed to returning for a twelve episode limited series.

But let's not kid ourselves -- anyone who is expecting that this show will end after just twelve episodes is probably wrong. Like, super wrong. Will and Grace, despite its sometimes questionable portrayal of gay stereotypes, is a charming show, and all of the actors involved have maintained the good will of audiences to such a level that having the show return feels to a lot of people like reuniting with old friends.

The only potential issue? That whole series finale business back in 2006 that did a twenty year time jump, showing that Will and Grace hadn't spoken in eighteen years. So, like...how are they friends in 2017? Worry not, though -- the retconning of a series finale, particularly one as lackluster and depressing as that one, will hardly damage the revival.
