Network: Showtime Premiere Date: First seven episodes available on Showtime On Demand Billions, slated to air later this month on Showtime, is the story of a major showdown between a super rich hedge fund billionaire and a zealous New York City attorney. Righteous battles against the financial elite and all of their shady practices are in vogue right now, what with The Big Short getting some serious Oscar buzz. But what really pushes this show into must watch territory is the cast. Who doesn't want to watch Damien Lewis (Homeland) and Paul Giamatti (professional grump) square off against each other? Bottom line, they can be trusted to not only execute the material properly, but to elevate it into something truly amazing. Also, it looks from the trailer as though their character's wives play an important role in the show (above and beyond being just their wives), which is nice. They are played by Malin Ackerman and Maggie Siff (best known for playing Rachel Menken on Mad Men), and they look like they're going to be awesome.
