Network: The CW Premiere Date: Jan. 21 at 8pm Marvel has been unquestionably dominating DC Comics in the world of film, especially now that the dust has settled from Christopher Nolan's innovative interpretation of Batman and nothing else has sprung up to replace it. But when it comes to television, DC has the upper hand. With Arrow, The Flash, and Gotham all popular hits, it seems like they've found a niche for themselves on the small screen. So there's always room for one more, right? Legends of Tomorrow, unlike Arrow or The Flash, is a ready made ensemble piece that puts together a bunch of superheroes that maybe aren't strong enough to carry their own series in an effort to save the world through the power of time travel. At its heart is the character of Rip Hunter, who was basically created to explain all of the inconsistencies in the DC universe by zipping through time and space. Basically he's The Doctor, played (interestingly enough) by Doctor Who alum Arthur Darvill. While the trailer isn't selling the show as much as it probably could, it's such an interesting storyline that it seems unfair not to at least give it a chance to see where it's going.
