10 New TV Shows You Should Be Watching In 2016

6. Vinyl

Network: HBO Premiere Date: Feb. 14 It is a simple and indisputable fact that Terence Winter just doesn't make bad television shows. His last two projects were Boardwalk Empire and The Sopranos, and all signs point to him having another big hit for HBO with Vinyl. For one, he's got some major power behind the scenes: its many executive producers include Mick Jagger and Martin Scorcese, the latter of whom also directed the pilot episode. Vinyl explores the sex and drugs infused world of the music industry in 1970s New York. It stars Bobby Cannavale in the lead role of Richie Finestra, a record label president, and also features Olivia Wilde, Juno Temple, and Ray Romano. Even without having seen the show yet, it's difficult to imagine Vinyl being anything other than a success for HBO.
