10 New TV Shows You Should Be Watching In 2016

5. The Path

Network: Hulu Premiere Date: Mar. 30 The Path is a very curious piece of work. For one, it is one of Hulu's very first original programs, marking its attempt to share some of the space that Netflix and Amazon currently occupy. It also happens to star Aaron Paul, in his first major television role since Breaking Bad went off the air. While Paul hasn't always made the best choices (the less said about Need for Speed, the better), The Path could very well be a winner for him. He plays a recent convert to a controversial faith-based movement (one might go so far as to say cult), which is headed by a charismatic leader played by Hugh Dancy. Fresh off his well-received role on Hannibal, Hugh Dancy has proven his willingness and ability to take on darker material, so it will be exciting to see what he does with this. Also, I'm taking bets to see how long this show can go before it gets sued or boycotted by some fringe religion trying to get a little bit of attention. This is the kind of stuff that Scientology lawyers live for.
