8. The Transformers (The original cartoon series from the 1980s)
I loved this cartoon when I was a kid. The highlight of my day when I was in the sixth grade was watching it every afternoon after a horrible day of school. After the awesome movie (the animated one from 1986, which to this day is on my personal list of greatest movies ever made) the show went to Hell in a hand basket much to my chagrin. It was set in the future after the events of the movie (I guess the kids who didnt see the movie were screwed because it just picked up right after with pretty much no recap) and a lot of the old characters that I loved that were regulars on the previous seasons had either been killed off or just disappeared in general, never to be seen again. Optimus Prime was dead, Megatron-who had gone batsh*t crazy-was running around in another body calling himself Galvatron, and worst of all, that lame-ass douche Rodimus Prime (who was a piss poor replacement for Optimus) was in charge of the Autobots. It hobbled along and even brought Optimus back at one point but it was just never the same for me, and I knew a lot of other kids my age at the time that felt the same way. This is the perfect example of a show that should have ended with the movie.
