10 Other Outrageously Well-Dressed TV Shows (That Aren't Mad Men)

7. I Love Lucy - Elois Jenssen

La Oh Lucy The Lucille Ball Collection To Be A 001 Academy Award-winning costume designer, Elois Jenssen designed fashions for "I Love Lucy" from 1953- 1955 and created the Lucy Ricardo "look". Jenssen dressed Ball perfectly, elegantly and always memorably creating some of the most famous and unforgettable wardrobes for the crazy red headed comedienne. Whether she was dressed to the nines or wearing a horse's feed sack on her head, Lucy always looked lovely. Lucille sported some gorgeous looks in the '50s - Pillbox hats, peplums and waist belts and those divine dresses that made being a housewife look glamorous and sexy. You never knew what you were going to get with each episode, ranging from a baseball player, clown, mustached news reporter, and many more. Of all the I Love Lucy costumes, I am particularly fond of the flared bias cut skirts that Lucy wore with crossover wrap blouses, as well as the famous checked pencil-skirt dress worn for the legendary "Chocolate Factory" episode.

Born in Israel, but raised partly in the UK, Shira is rather an odd duck. She will get in your face with her opinion, but will then be super polite to the waitress serving her a cocktail, no matter how bad the service is. Movies are her passion, along with good TV, music, and Shakespeare. She loves to sing and goes to karaoke a lot, too. She will do anything creative, and will resort to finger painting if necessary. Shira also, apparently, enjoys writing about herself in third person, which is weird. But she just finished her first Fantasy novel, and it's not about her, so that's ok. Shira is very glad to be a part of WhatCulture!
