10 Planned Seasons Of Cancelled Sci-Fi TV Shows
1. Alphas
Alphas was a brief candle, lasing only two seasons before it was yanked by Syfy (since airing on Syfy is somewhat akin to a tight-rope walk at the best of times). A slick, smooth modern superhero story that did its best to be more interesting than Heroes but more grounded than most superhero fare, Alphas was also meant to be a part of Syfy's interconnected universe (with overlaps to both Warehouse 13 and Eureka). Sadly, this wasn't meant to last and Alphas was cancelled in 2013, leaving the show on an unresolved cliff-hanger.
Zak Penn spoke extensively about his plans for the third season on twitter, with many of his ideas focusing on what would happen to individual characters. Gary Bell, the autistic savant was to have become the leader of Red Flag, while Dr. Rosen would have somehow survived the Photic Stimulators (while not being explicitly confirmed as a secret Alpha). There are a number of other suggestions, with young Zoe eventually becoming a Senator and leading a political crusade agains the Alphas.
However it would have turned out, we can rest assured that Sheldon Cooper really, really hated it. So there's that.
