Speaking of characters who Marvel are refusing to give their own movies to, still haven't seen hide nor hair of a solo outing for Black Widow yet. That's despite Scarlett Johansson being both a bankable star and a bankable action star, as her lead role in Luc Besson's mega-hit Lucy attests to, and the Russian spy being one of the best parts of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. So if they're not going to give Natasha a film, could they bring her adventures to life in animated form? The current Black Widow comic series has a beautiful stylised look from Phil Noto which would look even better in motion, but that would probably mean a bigger budget and a more adult tone. She is one of the few Avengers who kills on a regular basis, after all. Apparently the Widow's mysterious past is going to at least be hinted at in Age Of Ultron, although given everything else that's meant to be happening in that movie don't expect anything too in-depth. Like Cap, Natasha's early years are ripe for exploration, and if it's not going to happen in live-action cartoon form would be cool. It's that or an Archer-style adult comedy set at SHIELD...
