Speaking of concepts that would work a lot better as a cartoon, ain't no way there's gonna be another Howard The Duck movie. One of the most costly and infamous failures in comic book movie history, the eighties attempt to adapt Steve Gerber's cult existentialist comic about an interplanetary fowl trapped in a world he never made, trying to negotiate a popular culture that was unfamiliar to him was a total mess. With George Lucas producing, no less! So it was a surprise to all (that actually recognised the character) when Howard showed up in the post-credits tag of Guardians Of The Galaxy, in a rather slap-dash CGI form, voiced by Seth Green from Buffy The Vampire Slayer and all those Robot Chicken clips your idiot teenage cousin keeps linking you to and you pretend to watch. It was mainly a joke, but what if they did something with it? Technically Howard is part of the MCU now, and if this animated project is also? Could do worse than a Howard The Duck cartoon. Provided they actually give Gerber some money for it. It'd be kinda grown up either way, but a psychedelic, forth-wall breaking take on the original material could work, or the recent run by Chip Zdarsky and Joe Quinnones would be ripe for the picking. Plucking?
