10 Problems With The X-Files Revival Nobody Wants To Admit

1. There Are Too Many Stories To Tell

It's been said before, just a few pages back really, but it bears repeating: six episodes aren't enough.

However, it's not just a matter of existing storylines from the original series. There are also simply too many stories to tell beyond that. Stories that include the comics, which have been relatively successful, the X-Files novels (of which there are six originals), plus several juvenile/young adult series. Some of those would make for great television.

Not to mention all the story ideas the U.S. government (and others) have served up on large platters in recent years with actions like the NSA wiretapping scandal, something that can easily tie in to future X-Files episodes.

The greatest problem the show may face, in the end, is deciding what to focus on for the series' return.

Fans, however, will find out soon enough: the first episode, My Struggle, premieres on January 24, 2016.
