The Characters: Bette & Dot Tattler The Inspiration: Daisy & Violet Hilton The Story: Born in England in 1908, Daisy and Violet were fused at the hip, unlike Bette and Dot, who share a body but have two seperate heads, but everything else about them were pretty similar.Daisy and Violet were muscially talented and made their way to San Francisco in 1915, and by the 1920s, they were successfully performing in vaudeville shows alongside Charlie Chaplin.
