10 Reasons DC Fans NEED To Watch Titans

3. Connections To The DC Universe

Something fun that each of Marvel's Netflix shows loved including were references to events that happened during the most recent major MCU film. They were a fun way of making their settings feel familiar and like it had history without needing a significant amount of time to establish it. Titans employs a similar method, but it gets to play around in its own version of the DCEU.

Dick talks about taking on classic Batman villains, Donna discusses the lessons she's learned from Wonder Woman, and that's just from casual conversations. Sometimes the Titans come face-to-face with these seemingly larger-than-TV characters, similarly to animated shows like Young Justice that have cameos from Justice League members.

However, it avoids over-doing it with them, allowing these bigger characters' appearances to remain special.

Even just the little comments/moments that reference the greater DC world are enjoyable. Dick pondering The Penguin's activities while socializing, Jason Todd discussing his outings with Batman, all of it works in service to the characters rather than feeling like a detached component.
