10 Reasons Family Guy Is The Laziest Show On Television
8. Recycled Jokes
Family Guy is so out of ideas at this point that they've resorted to reusing and recycling jokes they've done before, just for the sake of filling an episode. The bit with Peter fighting the giant chicken was funny once, maybe twice. By the third time it started to wear a bit thin and by the sixth, you find yourself asking just how they're still on this same tired joke that started over a decade ago.
There's also the intrusive Conway Twitty segments that were never funny to begin with, yet somehow have been reused time and time again. Plus, the bit with Peter destroying Cleveland's house while the latter is taking a bath, causing him to plummet to the front lawn; the one where Stewie speaks to Brian in a condescending, increasingly high-pitched voice when talking about his prospective novel; Peter randomly beginning to sing Surfin' Bird for no reason at all; as well as many others.
The point here is that Family Guy reuses its own, tired material so much that it has undeniably become a glaring issue that says a lot about the quality of the writing and how much effort is put into it.
