10 Reasons A Friends Movie Would Be A Terrible Idea

10. It Ended On A High

There is not an overwhelmingly poor episode of Friends. Some are better than others, but on the whole they are all watchable. A movie would ruin the emotional moment when they all said goodbye to the apartment and began the rest of their lives. That episode would lose its gravitas, and we would risk having a negative outing on the big screen as the last memory of the sitcom. It is rare that a show can keep its audience engaged for as long as Friends. Normally the show stagnates, key characters leave, or a plot twist intended to shake the show up backfires. Friends avoided this; just look at Monica and Chandler's relationship. What makes the show so great is that it was almost permanently positive, and we would not want to see this record tarnished by an attempt to break into the big screen.
