9. The Disguises
Another standout element of the series concerns the various disguises which the protagonists, Philip (Matthew Rhys) and Elizabeth Jennings (Keri Russell) wear.
On the various missions they set out on, Philip and Elizabeth have a wide variety of outfits, wigs, glasses, and fake moustaches at the go to hide their identities.
The costume design is creative, and it allows the pair to transform into dozens of identities across the series, which makes you appreciate the performances even more as you notice the subtle differences in each personal. There's a lot of humour to be drawn out of these as well, with some disguises becoming characters in their own right.
You could also make a drinking game counting how many wigs they wear throughout the run. It's... a lot, though, so maybe don't do that to avoid alcohol poisoning.
Anyway, once either puts a disguise on, you know that things are going to turn out one of two ways: with lots of sex, or with lots of violence. Sometimes even both. That alone should be enough to convince you to watch the series, no?
